A Spirit Airlines flight is making an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale International airport after officials said a bomb threat was made, local media reported. Fort Lauderdale officials say a person on board the flight made the threat, according to local CBS 12. "No apparent threat" has been detected, but authorities are still sweeping the plane. Broward County officials say the plane is a Spirit Airlines Airbus A320 with 92 people on board The plane has now landed at the airport and is reportedly being checked. The plane is being checked in a secure area by law enforcement, according to CBS 12.Spirit Airlines is an ultra-low cost carrier that serves passengers in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

A 4.7-magnitude earthquake has struck Oklahoma, the US Geological Survey reported, adding that the quake hit at a depth of 6.2 km, just 13 km from the town of Cherokee. Local media reports said that the earthquake was also felt in neighboring Kansas.

The majority of the British public are in favor of the reported extrajudicial killing of Islamic State executioner Mohammed Emwazi, also known as Jihadi John, in a drone strike last week, a poll has found. The Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) militant was killed in a missile strike as he got into a car in the group’s Syrian stronghold of Raqqua last week. He was killed a few days before Friday’s attacks on Paris.  Emwazi is thought to be responsible for several deaths, including the execution of two British aid workers, David Haines and Alan Henning.
