Ricky Gervais has put his north London home on the market for more than £7.7million, as he prepares to move into his stunning new £10million mansion.

The comedian has listed the property, with a stream of stunning inside snaps, for £7,750,000.

The four-bedroom home comes complete with a gym and indoor pool, covering 5,263 square feet.

Snaps from inside show a huge spacious lounge and dining area, a vast bedroom and bathroom, and a basement pool and gym, which reportedly doubled the value of the property.Ricky bought the Hampstead home for £3.4 million in 2006, adding a gym, a swimming pool, a sauna and a golf simulator, which got a fair bit of criticism from his neighbours at the time.

The whole project is rumoured to have cost him £1million - but now, having shot the price of the whole property up, it seems it's worth it.The house is listed on Zoopla.com , and is described as a "very special home" offering "solid, spacious rooms, incredible high ceilings, charm, character, light and many original features."

The star and his wife Jane Fallon recently bought their luxury new pad outside the city, but it's unclear if they've made the big move yet.

The Office star's "ambassadorial property" is around seven times the size of the average UK home.It boasts eight bedrooms, four reception rooms and three bathrooms and has a large garden with summer house and swimming pool.

Land Registry documents lodged this week show Gervais and his partner, Jane Fallon, bought the home for £10.5 million. It is far cry from the council estate in Whitley, Reading, which Gervais grew up on.

Since starring in The Office in 2001, the entertainer - praised for his animal rights campaigning - has become one of the world's biggest comedians.
