Legendary magazine Playboy has announced it will stop publishing nude photos beginning with its March 2016 issue.

The magazine has been on the top shelf for more than 60 years, launching in 1953 with it's first first issue featuring Marilyn Monroe naked.

Ever since celebrities have vied for the chance to strip down for the magazine and writers such as Roald Dahl , Ian Fleming , Norman Mailer and Jack Kerouac have all penned stories for the title.

Hugh Hefner's baby reached its largest circulation in 1972 when it was distributed to 7.2 million readers but in recent times has been hit by the internet.
